Cultural shock between Asian and Western mindsets

Because of the year I've spent in Europe, I assumed I had been more Western than most of the people around. And today I proved it right.

Before embarking on my story, I want to make the so-called "Asian and Western" mindsets clear. In my opinion, an Asian one tends to decide upon and be greatly influenced by groups; while the Western is more self-centered. Some may criticize that the Western one is selfish but on the other hand, it's certain that you should take good care of your mentality. The Asian collectivism can bring about good to the whole society, but mostly it sacrifices individual willingness and causes huge suppression.
After back to Taiwan, I worked on my plan of holding a Dutch coffee event, which I had been thinking of at the arrival of The Netherlands. Last night, finally I squeezed up and published the Facebook event and the Google form for signing up. However, this morning, a lot of complaints about not availability or asking for extra events popped on my Facebook. If I were still in a  completely Asian mindset, I would definitely change my mind and think about other dates, then switched it sooner or later.
Does the assumption I've made above present I'm not in Asain mindset at all? The answer is no, and I'm in both. Therefore, the process of receiving this kind of negative information is,
"Too bad, some of my coffee friends can't join. Should I change the date or set up another?"
Then, it turned to,
"Wait, I don't think it matters. The date I've chosen is decided under my pre-marketing questionnaire, not colluding with other events and keeping the freshness of my coffee. There's no better decision here. And this is the best situation I can expect."
So yeah, sorry for the friends who can't show up on the Saturday, and I want to stick on my decision.

Don't count on me that I'll produce a Mandarin version. Another apology here.
(Perhaps I'm still too Asain not to apologize.)
